A little about Ms. Smith....

Welcome to what is sure to be a wonderful year at Jefferson Academy! I am so excited to get to know all of you! Here’s a little information about me: 

This is my 4th year teaching 4th grade at Jefferson Academy. I used to be Ms. Smith, but got married last October, and am now Mrs. Thatcher ☺ I graduated from Utah State University with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and taught for 4 years in the Davis School District. I took a little break from teaching to be a stay-at-home mom to my three kids, but couldn’t wait to get back to the classroom when my youngest started first grade! 

 

Outside of teaching, I love working out, hiking, reading, going to concerts/movies, and spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I hope to not only make sure that my students' academic needs are met, but also their emotional and social needs. I’m looking forward to an amazing year and feel so privileged to be a part of helping your child learn and grow!
