Fidget TOYS
Fidget toys can be very valuable for times when they are needed.  However, when they are visible they can be very distracting to other people.  For this reason, if they are visible they will be taken away.

Field Trip
Field Trip permission slips came home this week. We will be going to the Great Salt Lake Shoreline Preserve in west Layton and then to Wetland Discovery Point building in Kaysville. We had so many volunteers offer to chaperone for the last field trip, we believe we already have all of our spots filled. We will let you know if this changes.

4th Grade End of Year Program
We are putting together our end of year program. One of our songs talks about the many places and things to do in Utah. We are going to put together a video to go along with this song. If you have any pictures of your child or family at any of the places listed below, please e-mail them to jeffersonacademy4@gmail.com so that we can use them in our collage.

Week 32

Thank you again for supporting our school through the Eagle Fun Run! As a school we have raised almost 10,000 in two days! I know there has been a lot of fundraisers this year and many of you are exhausted. Our PTO has been working hard to help us enhance our playground. Because this fundraiser has been so successful at other schools, next year this will be the only one. Our class goal is $26. However, the more money that is pledged, the more prizes there are :)

This weekend we are issuing a special challenge. Visit funrun.com to see the bonus prize your child can earn simply by getting a total of $2 per lap in new pledges (or $60 in flat donations) this weekend only.

And if you’re looking for an easy way to ask for a pledge, create your very own Student Star Video by uploading a photo of your student to funrun.com. It’s a fun movie trailer starring your child! You can share it on email or social media to ask for a pledge.

If you haven’t registered your child on funrun.com, use our school registration code: 343-793

White Ribbon Week
This week we will be learning all about internet safety! Today they should have brought home a white card to place by the computer to remind them to "Turn it off, Talk to a parent, Turn to something active."

Classroom Donations

If you are still looking for ways to get your 30 volunteer hours, classroom donations can count! Our classroom has gone through a lot of twistable colored pencils and regular #2 pencils this year and we are running low. We would love any donations.
